From an early age…

I was enamored with the arts. Whether it was music, visual arts, dance or theatre, I was fascinated by it. As a young child, I played the guitar and piano and also dabbled with all different kinds of art mediums. As my skills developed in the musical and vocal arts I slowed my visual arts development down. I went on to receive my bachelor’s degree in music from Iowa State University and my master’s degree in vocal performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music. However, even while I was going to school I continued creating paintings along the way (albeit on a much smaller scale). Once I graduated and began my career, my artistic pursuits stalled to give way to the corporate world.

In the spring of 2020 there was a complete lack of artistic outlets for me to pursue, especially in music and performing. My eye turned toward my long lost love of the visual arts and I started to paint. And paint. And paint. Something inside of me clicked when I picked up those brushes and dipped them into the smooth pigments. My joy of creating sparked anew.

I enjoy creating and painting anything but I particularly enjoy painting expressions of the natural environment with an emphasis on floriculture and landscapes. I hope you find joy and happiness in my expressions.
